Looking for a position where you can leverage your technical expertise to drive successful deals with Channable’s most impactful clients? The Sales Engineering team serves as the crucial link between our commercial teams and our platform. We are dedicated to facilitating seamless and high-value integrations between Channable and our customers, empowering our clients to achieve an edge in online retail. 

Our team consists of resourceful problem solvers, known for our adaptability and innovative solutions. We translate complex client needs into actionable technical strategies and communicate intricate technical details clearly to both your colleagues and our clients. In the Sales Engineering team, you'll have ample opportunities to expand your engineering, service, and communication skills.


Note: the official title of this role within Channable is Solutions Engineer. We are using the title Sales Engineer for recruitment purposes. You can ask us more about it during our first conversation.


Your challenges

  • Partner up with Sales and Customer Success to address the needs of their customers and new leads and help them be successful.

  • Contribute to deal strategy by raising technical concerns and proposing solutions to mitigate them for the customer.

  • Join meetings with mid-market and enterprise clients to address technical questions, strategical concerns and serve as a knowledgeable stakeholder.

  • Drive resolution for customer technical questions and issues related to assigned deals.

  • Develop custom data imports to overcome technical hurdles and help close deals and onboard customers.

  • Perform technical knowledge transfer to the Technical Account Managers to ensure a smooth client onboarding.

  • Proactively maintain an overview of open mid-market and enterprise deals that would require your involvement.

  • Review agreements for deals with clients to ensure Channable is able to meet technical commitments.

  • Facilitate internal coordination and response to technical assessments as part of RFPs.

  • Create and update internal documentation to support Sales Engineering processes.

  • Submit feedback to product management to advocate for customer needs discovered during deals.

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • You have approximately 2 years or more of relevant professional experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or a related technical customer-facing role.

  • You have a track record of positively influencing deal closures through technical expertise and strategic input.

  • You understand complex technical systems and are comfortable explaining them.

  • You have strong troubleshooting skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving.

  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • You have an affinity for explaining technical details to people with varying levels of technical knowledge.

  • You have a valid work permit for the Netherlands or EU citizenship.

  • You live in (or close to) Utrecht or are willing to move.

  • You are available for at least 32 hours a week.

Nice to have

  • You have experience with eCommerce systems or related processes.

  • You have working experience with data import and export processes.

  • You have an affinity with web shop or marketplace integrations.

  • Experience working with RFPs and technical assessments.

  • Familiarity with sales methodologies and CRM systems.
