Our hiring process*
Commercial departments
1. Introduction call
Our aim with the approx. 25-minute introduction call (think of a video or phone call) is to get to know you and your interests better and vice versa.
Your skills, your experience, and of course your motivation speaks for itself, but we’re curious to understand them.
2. Culture-fit interview
Get ready for the culture-fit interview, where we'll explore your personality, passions, and how you'll contribute to our vibrant workplace.
It's not just about us interviewing you; it's a two-way street. Ask anything you want, in this conversation to assess if Channable is the ideal fit for your goals.
3. Skills-based interview
During this interview, you'll have the chance to showcase your job-specific skills and show us that you're the Channabler we're looking for.
Depending on the position, we may ask you to work on an assignment, assessing how your skills align with the role's requirements.
4. Coffee moment
Since we put people and our professional connections first, we’d love to meet you in person after all the interviews.
We may invite you for a coffee with your future colleagues to have a chat and get an office tour.

FAQ
What do my first weeks look like?
Regardless of the hours, you’re going to work (32-40 hours/week) during the first week of onboarding you need to be available full-time in the office. The second, and third week requires you to be available as well, but only for Support colleagues. In case you work less than 40 hours/week, we pro-rata calculate those extra hours accordingly and give a vacation day in return. This is for you to get settled in, meet your teams, and have some fun with the Utrecht Photo Challenge, and buddy systems.
Can I work fully remotely?
No. We really value collaboration and human connection with our colleagues. We really enjoy our office, and we are sure that you will too!
Do I need to speak Dutch to work at the Channable Utrecht office?
Our company language is English. For some positions, you might be required to speak Dutch (ex. Positions that deal with Dutch clients), but for the majority of the cases, it is not needed.
What does the travel reimbursement look like?
Depending on the office you will be working at, we offer different kinds of travel reimbursement. For example, if you are going to work at our Utrecht office and you live outside of the city, on your first work day, we will provide you with a Basis NS Business Card (train, bus, tram, metro, and OV bike) that you can use for your daily door-to-door trip to the office. Or we pay €0,23 per km if you decide to use a different means of transport.
I would like to apply for the One Fit discount, Open Up, and massages, which further steps should I take to do so?
Once you join Channable you can use our Confluence page which is our company-wide information platform. If you search for these activities, you’ll find the answer pretty easily.
I saw the description of the Channaweekend in the job description. When is the Channaweekend this year? Is it possible for me to join and get to know some new colleagues?
A couple of months before the actual Channaweekend, the Secret Channaweekend Committee announces the date. Everyone can join Channaweekend. Once you are our official colleague, you are invited to join Channaweekend and bond with colleagues.
What is the 30% ruling and can I get it if I start working at Channable?
30% ruling is a tax exemption that international employees might be eligible for when they start working in the Netherlands. It is not Channable’s decision whether or not you qualify for it. The Dutch government makes that decision.
Can I work 4X9?
No. We think that focus is very important (after all, it is one of our values!) and we believe that working 8 hours a day is enough. You can then enjoy your free time in the evening!
