Your job

As a Front-end Engineer at Channable, you will be responsible for building an intuitive application that our customers use to automate their digital marketing. You will be prototyping new features based on customer feedback and making decisions to improve how our customers are guided through our tool. After a feature is implemented you will also be rolling out the feature together with other members of the product team, landing new functionalities in the hands of our customers.


Your challenges

  • Analyze and challenge functional requirements, working with product managers to deliver customer-centric solutions.

  • Write scalable, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code.

  • Turn wireframes into functional UI while adhering to an existing design system.

  • Have an established and communicable grasp of design and UX principles.

  • Collaborate with fellow front- and backend engineers and help them navigate the front-end.

  • Frontend: typescript, react, react-query, react-hook-form, css-in-js, jest, msw.js, rest, webpack, babel, eslint

  • Other: haskell, python, postgresql, redis, ansible, terraform, prometheus, semaphore, nix, GCP

Job requirements


Who are you?

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience developing frontend applications using React.

  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience with native Javascript (ES6 and above). And recent experience with Typescript.

  • You have experience with unit tests in a React environment using Jest.

  • You have a good understanding of REST APIs.

  • You are keen on being the best in your field and want to help Channable in its continuous growth.

  • You have a great sense of empathy that allows you to make user-centric decisions.

  • You are self-motivated to take initiative and ownership of your work.

  • You care about the developer experience as much as the user experience.

  • You enjoy experimenting with and applying new technologies.

  • You are creative and endlessly curious.

  • You are available for at least 32-40  hours a week

  • You have an EU citizenship or a valid permit to work in the Netherlands.

What do we offer?

  • Gross monthly salary ranging from €3.519- € 5.382 based on a 40-hour work week. The salary is determined based on your experience.

  • 8% holiday allowance - 8% of your yearly salary, which is paid together with your May salary.

  • Since you can work from home for 3 days a week, we will provide home office supplies.

  • Having flexible working hours means starting your day between 8.00–10.00 am.

  • 26 vacation days + 2 reload days based on 40 hours.

  • We offer a 3-week-long workcation; and an additional 3 weeks, if you live as an expat in the Netherlands!
