Channable is an innovative tech company founded in the Netherlands, looking for a Director of Sales based in New York City. In 7 years, we have rapidly grown into a company with an international team of over 150 young professionals. We have developed a product feed management & PPC tool for online marketing agencies and advertisers, helping them in their online marketing efforts. Channable is the beacon in a complex eCommerce landscape. Where eCommerce can be as tangled as a bowl of spaghetti, we make it a piece of cake.

We are the market leader in the Benelux, now ready to enter the US market. We will start with the opening of an office in NYC, building a sales team with support, customer success, and marketing staff, and eventually integration and development specialists to ensure the quality of service and direct communication with the US clients.

The position

The Director of Sales is a motivated leader and the key driver behind the company’s growth in the US, you are their US voice and will embody their culture in everything you do. You know how to grow an innovative brand and how to attract, build and develop a highly engaged, strong team to help the company achieve its goals. You will define and execute a strong strategy that inspires the team and creates a winning brand. You will be joining an international sales team, consisting of enthusiastic and talented people who are motivated to be a part of an innovative and highly effective product. The rapidly changing environment and the contact with many big brands makes the job exciting and challenging.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hunter, high achiever, and leader who will establish and increase the company’s market share in the US. Ideally, you come from the agency world or have sold to digital/ad agencies before. Either way, you must have previous experience in e-commerce and/or online marketing. You possess a strong network in NYC and understand the problems that customers face with Amazon, eBay, Google Shopping, and Google ads.


  • Deliver a strong commercial strategy to establish and grow the US Market share.
  • Build and engage a strong and successful team.
  • Grow the brand in the US as a brand you cannot ignore.
  • Drive new business opportunities to conquer the US market.
  • Gather product feedback to make our product fully US-proof.
  • Conduct introductory calls with potential clients and give demos when needed.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by driving effective resolution of customer issues.
  • Provide regular and efficient updates on your account portfolio to management in the Netherlands.
  • Ensure accurate and timely forecasts and management reporting.
  • Present the company at tradeshows and networking events.


You are a driven and experienced business developer and sales manager, who is eager to take the next step in your career. You are still willing to go out “into the field” yourself, to learn the “in’s and out’s” of the business and to build strong working relationships with (potential) clients. You will learn quickly how the company works and can explain it in detail to customers. Besides, you have proven experience in leading a (small) team. In addition, you have:

  • A deep understanding of the digital agency market, with 7+ years of related experience.
  • Previous experience in e-commerce and/or online marketing.
  • Proven and successful track record of sales results selling e-commerce, online marketing, or SaaS Solutions.
  • Excellent understanding of digital agencies and/or ad agencies.
  • Self-motivated sales function capable of working independently and unsupervised.
  • High level of motivation combined with the ability to motivate and lead a (sales) team.
  • Passion for leading and working in a fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, develop business cases, and negotiate and close deals.
  • Self-starter and strong entrepreneurial skills.
  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills.
