We are a young and fast-growing start-up from Utrecht focusing on the e-commerce and online marketing sectors. Channable was founded 6 years ago and developed into a company with an international team of 150 innovative and enthusiastic professionals. Job description

What will your role be?

In this position, you will be responsible for maximizing the value of Channable to its users. You'll be working closely with our teams and our customers to gather ideas on improvements or new features that can be added to our product. We expect you to be able to lead feature design, experiment, and iterate where necessary and finally validate the design before implementing. These processes are relatively new to Channable, so you’ll have the freedom to pick them up with the teams as you see fit. As a part of the product team, you will also help shape the product strategy, which is foundational to how Channable is shaped over the coming years.

At Channable, this product owner role is an extremely collaborative effort between our sales, support, marketing, and development teams. You will be joining the product team that has a track record of delivering new products and features that are used by thousands of clients and that process billions of data points every day.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborating with our teams and customers to gather ideas for new features or improvements to our product.
  • Assessing the specific impact of a new feature or improvement.
  • Ensuring feature delivery is structured and coordinated.
  • Assessing the business case for a new feature or improvement.
  • Signaling opportunities that could deliver large value to our product.
  • Working with the product team to assess and optimize product workflows.

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with product ownership.
  • The ability to work with technical documentation (for example for APIs).
  • You are thorough in finding the ‘problem behind the problem’ and you don’t always take things at face value.
  • You like diving into design problems and iterating until you’re sure that it directly impacts our users’ core problems.
  • You have a proven track record of keeping delivery focused on quality over quantity.
  • You know how to produce a feature roadmap that highlights outcomes and how this plays into the users' problems.
  • You can work out the business case for a specific feature and clearly communicate its value to others.

Practical requirements

  • Excellent written communication skills in English.
  • You have EU citizenship or a work permit for the Netherlands.
  • Already living in The Netherlands is an advantage.
  • Available for at least 4 days a week, preferably 5.
