In 7 years the Dutch startup has rapidly grown into a company with an international team of over 150 young professionals. While we still have a scale-up vibe, working at Channable also means being part of a professional company. We are the market leader in Benelux and are now conquering the rest of the world, with teams for the US, DACH, Nordics, UK, Iberia, France, and Italy, (usually) based in our office in Utrecht.

We are now looking for a new product owner to join our product team!

Job description

What will your role be?

In this position, you will be responsible for maximizing the value of Channable to its users. You'll be working closely with our teams and our customers to gather ideas on improvements or new features that can be added to our product. We expect you to take the lead on Discovery, Design and Delivery activities within an iterative process. And it’s highly valued that we also validate our assumptions before starting implementation. These processes are relatively new to Channable, so you’ll have the freedom to pick them up with the teams as you see fit. As a part of the Product team, you will also help shape the product strategy, which is foundational to how Channable is shaped over the coming years.

At Channable, this product owner role is an extremely collaborative effort between our sales, support, marketing, and development teams. You will be joining the product team that has a track record of delivering new products and features that are used by thousands of clients and that process billions of data points every day.

Your responsibilities
  • Collaborating with the development teams to gather ideas for new features or improvements to our product
  • Assessing the impact of new features or improvements
  • Ensuring feature delivery is structured and coordinated
  • Signaling opportunities that could deliver large value to our customers
  • Assessing the business case for a new feature or improvement
  • Working with the product team to assess and optimize product workflows

09:00 - Stand up with the team

10:00 - Meet with Marketing about new releases

12:00 - Lunch!

13:00 - Customer feedback meeting

14:00 - Work on proposal for a new feature

16:00 - Functional discussion

17:30 - Another day well spent

Who are you?

You are thorough in finding the 'problem behind the problem', which means you do not always take things at face value. You dive into a problem, to be sure it really impacts our users' core issues. You think ahead, and spot opportunities that might not be clear to others. With your solid arguments, enthusiastic personality, and structured way of thinking, you easily get everyone aligned in the steps that we need to take. You like to continuously improve, both by finding new possibilities to explore and improving our current tooling. More concrete, you: 

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience with product ownership
  • Preferably have experience in working in an IT environment
  • Have excellent written communication skills in English
  • Are an EU citizen or have a valid work permit for the Netherlands
  • Are available for at least 4 days a week, preferably 5
