The People & Culture team consists of 3 sub-teams:

2. Employee Experience

3. HR


You'll be part of team HR, which currently consists of Britt, Julia and Tim. Tim and Britt are both HR Advisors for their departments/offices. Julia is our HR Support and handles all HR administration and answers HR questions from employees. 🤸‍♂️

Your job

In the role of HR Advisor, you are responsible for your departments (and offices) and advise management on all their people-related challenges. You get to know the departments well and act as a full sparring partner for the managers so that they can manage their team(s) in such a way that they can contribute optimally to the further growth of Channable.

Channable employs relatively many young team leads who could use your help with questions such as: How do I motivate my team members? How do I conduct difficult conversations? And how can I translate departmental goals into expectations on an individual level? What makes the role extra fun is that we are an international company. So a great challenge to learn how to communicate and collaborate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. 🍀

In this role, you will independently supervise any improvement processes, (long-term) sick leave, and conflicts both for the Utrecht office and (one of the) other offices. With your advice and constructive feedback, you will keep management on their toes and help them make choices in the best interest of Channable, without losing sight of people.


Due to our rapid growth, a lot is changing and therefore you have an important role in the continuous improvement and updating of our processes. Under the guidance of your team (lead), you will lead your projects and become the owner of several internal HR processes. Examples of project topics are: streamlining terms of employment across different offices, dealing with undesirable behavior, and improving the process around (long-term) sick leave.



Who are you?

Above all, we are looking for a nice colleague who with his/her knowledge, experience and eagerness to learn will be a great addition to our team. We are looking for someone who will work independently with his/her departments and enjoys working in a rapidly growing and changing work environment. Further things we think are important: 📢


  • You have at least 2 years of experience as an HR Advisor/Human Resource Business Partner in the Netherlands;
  • You have experience guiding cases around performance and (long-term) sickness absence;
  • You build relationships easily;
  • You can provide management with clear and constructive feedback in an effective and (culturally) sensitive way;
  • You are eager to learn and not afraid to make mistakes;
  • You enjoy participating in and/or leading projects. Some experience in project management is a plus but not required.


Other requirements

  • You have excellent written and spoken Dutch language skills (C1 level), with a good command of English;
  • You are available for at least 32 hours per week (4 days);

  • You live in (or close to) Utrecht, or are willing to move;

  • You are willing to come to our Utrecht office for two days/week.
