In 7 years the Dutch startup has rapidly grown into a company with an international team of over 150 young professionals. We are the market leader in Benelux and are now conquering the rest of the world, with teams for the US, DACH, Nordics, UK, Iberia, France, and Italy, based in our office in Utrecht.

Channable is a fast-growing, international SaaS scale-up and we are looking for a Head of Integrations.

What is the Integrations department?

The Integrations department is in charge of maintaining & improving the existing API Integrations Channable has with external platforms, such as eBay, Amazon and Shopify. On a daily basis the Integrations Engineers solve issues and bugs related to the existing functionality of the Channable tool. Next to this, they work on projects to improve these functionalities, making them more robust & future-proof.

Currently the Integrations department consists of 11 young and talented engineers including two team leads. The team leads provide technical guidance to the Integrations engineers in their daily work. Under your lead the department will be scaled up further.

Job description

What will your role be?

As the Head of Integrations you are responsible for making sure the Integrations department has everything it needs to operate successfully within Channable.

You will be responsible for:

  • Positioning the integrations department correctly within the company
    • Setting & guarding the responsibilities of the integrations department
    • Managing collaboration with other departments
  • Owning the existing integrations of the Channable tool
    • Making sure the department has a good overview of the state of Channable’s existing integrations
    • Helping the department prioritize improvements on these integrations
  • Setting goals & monitoring results for short & long term
  • Scaling & innovating the department to Channable’s needs
  • Mentoring & coaching the Integrations team leads
  • Facilitating an environment for the Integrations department, in which engineers can grow their skills and enjoy their daily job

Who are we looking for?

You truly believe in our company values and you know how to translate this to your team. This means you bring a positive attitude combined with an honest interest in your team’s well-being. You give a team the space to take responsibility and make decisions on their own. You are there to facilitate the team in their needs, and to provide a high-level view where needed. You don’t like to manage top-down. Next to that, you have a strong analytical mind combined with good communication skills. This provides you with the ability to analyze situations carefully and make a well-considered decision about the best course of action. Next, you are able to explain this to your team clearly, to provide them with a clear path on how to approach the situation.

More specifically, we're looking for:

  • At least 2 years of working experience in guiding a team
  • You have experience with APIs, know relevant concepts around this topic, and are familiar with the process of integrating with them.
  • A pro: affinity with programming languages

And then there are a few practical requirements:

  • An EU citizenship or a work permit
  • Available for at least 4 days a week, preferably full-time
